Studio 3AM is a full-service design firm and also part of the design-build firm (with Hogan Design-Build) rooted in the belief that intentional spaces elevate everyday life. Our Philosophy

Experience
Eva brought over a decade of experience designing and managing custom residential and boutique hospitality projects across California and internationally. Her design sensibility is shaped by a diverse background in architecture, urban planning, and sustainable design, including time studying in Denmark and working in both the U.S. and China.
Eva has contributed to award-winning homes and complex renovations, often working in historic and coastal zones with nuanced regulatory requirements. Her previous roles as Job Captain and Project Architect for top-tier Los Angeles firms included leading multi-phase projects from schematic design through construction close-out, with a focus on high-end residential properties and commercial workplaces in Beverly Hills, Montecito, Hancock Park, Malibu and Costa Mesa.
Our Story
Founded by Eva Liu-Hogan, Studio 3AM is a family-owned practice operating in both Raleigh, North Carolina, and Los Angeles, California. Eva, a licensed architect in both states, brings over a decade of experience in residential and commercial design. Michael Hogan, operating under Hogan Design Build, a licensed general contractor, complements the team with his expertise in construction and development.
Together, they lead a multidisciplinary team, Hogan Design Build, dedicated to delivering projects that are as thoughtful as they are beautiful. From new constructions to major remodels, Studio 3AM offers end-to-end solutions tailored to each client’s vision.
